Austin, TX – The Unity Party of America (https://unityparty.us/) has started a list at https://unityparty.us/security/ of official campaign sites of sitting Members of Congress, both Democrat and Republican, which are lacking basic SSL certificates and are thus unsafe for any visitor.
“The fact that Members of Congress, officials already entrusted with Federal office and continuing to ask for the hard-earned dollars of average Americans, are running campaign sites without basic SSL certification in 2019, is as noteworthy as it is disheartening,” says Unity Party Chairman Bill Hammons.
“Now that the Unity Party is UPing its game on a daily basis (pun intended), it’s incumbent on us to call out how dangerous it is to visit a site that your browser says is ‘not secure,’ especially if that website is asking you to break out your credit card, call out the incompetence of those who happen to be in office, and point out that all official Unity Party sites, National, State and Candidate, display the padlock icon which symbolizes the fact that Americans can trust Unity. We will continue to expand our list as we continue to discover incompetent culprits.”
