FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Unity Demands Firings At Colorado Politics & Gazette Over Racism
Denver, Colorado, April 29, 2020 – The United National Committee of the Unity Party of America (https://unityparty.us/) demands immediate firings of the person or persons at coloradopolitics.com and/or the Colorado Springs Gazette responsible for the most racist use of an image imaginable of United States Senate nominee Stephan “Chairman Seku” Evans by the news media.
“To paraphrase Justice Stewart, you know racism when you see it,” says Unity Party national chairman Bill Hammons. “To be clear, there are hundreds of images of Seku out there, including on his campaign site and other Unity Party sites, and, moments after I saw an article on the Unity Party produced by coloradopolitics.com pop up in a google alert, I reached out to Seku’s Campaign Director. We agreed that this image was deliberate and immediately agreed to take action. We as a party demand immediate apologies from this website, this media organization, and from Cory Gardner and the Colorado Republican Party for allowing an ad for the Senator’s reelection to appear alongside an image used in such a disturbing context. No doubt the GOP will cry ‘coincidence’, but the Party of Trump used up all its coincidence credits on this issue a long time ago.”
“I demand an apology,” says 2020 Unity Party nominee for United States Senate Stephan “Chairman Seku” Evans. “There are hundreds of images of me out there, and these people deliberately chose the most racist image they could find. I demand an apology from coloradopolitics.com, I demand an apology from the Gazette, and, most importantly, I demand immediate firings of whoever is responsible for this filth. I’ve demanded action, and the clock is ticking.”
