Pi Day Colorado CD-5 Town Hall Coronavirus-Canceled

Colorado Springs, Colorado, March 12, 2020 – The “Pi Day” Colorado CD-5 Candidate Forum scheduled for Saturday, 3/14 hosted by the Ryan Lucas for Congress (Democrat), Jillian Freeland for Congress (Democrat) and Rebecca Keltie for Congress (Unity Party) campaigns has been canceled by the same campaigns in order to help protect the health and safety of the Colorado Springs community as Community Spread of the Coronavirus arrives in Colorado.

“A large factor in this decision is the simple morass of uncertainty we as Coloradans and Americans find ourselves in,” says Keltie for Congress Campaign Director Bill Hammons. “When the President of the United States fires the National Security Council staff in charge of pandemic response, you can only pray that there won’t be a pandemic, and it’s the Big Unspoken that many Americans have been getting sick and dying under the national radar screen because the national government didn’t ensure that enough working Coronavirus testing kits were in place ahead of time. Testing kits are expensive, but the global economy grinding to a halt is even more expensive, and we can only say that we’re not going to add to the problem as we continue to campaign online.”
