Unity Party Moves Conventions as Coronavirus Hits Colorado

Colorado Springs, Colorado, March 6, 2020 – The Unity Parties of Colorado and America (https://unitypartycolorado.com/ and https://unityparty.us/) have moved their combined April 2020 conventions from the Broomfield Community and Senior Center to the Flatz restaurant in Broomfield’s Flatiron Hotel due to the coronavirus threat.

“It’s a classic case of better safe than sorry, we’ve stopped advertising the conventions on Facebook, and obviously this is going to be a pared down event in light of the arrival of Coronavirus to Colorado,” says Unity Party of America Chairman Bill Hammons.  “I’m dismayed that neither the State nor the major parties have apparently made any provisions to alter or reschedule Saturday’s party caucuses, which seem ready-made for community transmission, even though we’ve known for months that the Coronavirus’s arrival was inevitable.  The Unity Party show will go on, however, and we’ll still have a very packed all-day agenda covering everything from Colorado and national candidate nominations to proposed expansions of the national party platform.”
