FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Unity Party Endorses Brooks For Tompkins County, NY Legislature

Ithaca, New York, June 15, 2021 (Tuesday) –  Ithaca’s Travis Brooks, candidate for Tompkins County, New York legislature, District 1 (http://www.tbrooksforlegislature.com/), has been endorsed by the Unity Party of America (https://unityparty.us/).

“I’d like to thank Travis for attending one of the Unity Party’s Forward Friday zooms to introduce himself, and needless to say he made a good impression on the Uniters in attendance,” says Unity Party Chairman Bill Hammons.  “He has a compelling life story as well as a strong message, and we look forward to helping his campaign however we can through the June Primary and beyond.  In fact, Travis has inspired me to hereby call a permanent meeting of the United National Committee every second Friday afternoon of every month at our Forward Friday zooms to consider and vote on potential endorsements by the party.  The UNC has never actually met before this point, and that only reinforces the new nature of our endeavors to endorse candidates for office across the country of any and all parties and perspectives who, in our judgement, will help to unite and move this country forward with common-sense leadership.”

“I’d like to thank the Unity Party for the endorsement, and, as our campaign heads into the final stretch of the Primary, I look forward to their support,” says Brooks.  “Unity is about coming together under common principles, and I look forward to working with the Unity Party here in New York State and ensuring that my constituents in Ithaca have their voice heard as much within the growing Unity Party as within the wider political community, especially on local issues.”
