Hammons: “Read the 25th Amendment Law, Lawmakers in Congress”
Broomfield, Colorado, January 8, 2021 (Friday) – 2020 Nominee and 2024 Unity Party Presidential Candidate Bill Hammons (https://billisrunning.com) calls on Congress to read Amendment 25 in the light of the mushroom clouds possibly just over the horizon, and appoint a Commission to Remove the President with its own “Vice President” empowered to remove President Trump these last Twelve Days of Chaos, sidestepping both Vice President Pence and the Cabinet.
“Section 4 of Amendment 25 clearly begins with, ‘Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide,’” says Presidential Candidate Hammons. “I call on Congress to interpret that law as allowing the appointment of a ‘Vice President’ of that ‘other body,’ therefore paving the way for a removal of our current President without the need for cooperation from either his Cabinet or his Vice President. Once Trump is safely removed, Pence should be offered the role of Acting President, and, if he refuses the office, the 25th should be further interpreted as allowing the Commission’s Vice President to become the Acting President these remaining 12 days. Obviously this would end up in the Supreme Court, and I’m confident the Justices will see the wisdom of this drastic action.”
