Hammons Not Attending Cheyenne Independent National Convention

Broomfield, Colorado, October 24, 2020 (Saturday) – Unity Party of America Presidential Nominee Bill Hammons (https://billisrunning.com/) will not be attending the Independent National Convention in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

“I would like to thank an anonymous fellow Presidential candidate for scoring me a last-minute ticket to what we might call a somewhat selective event this weekend in Cheyenne,” says Hammons, “but in light of the fact that the event organizers have set an arbitrary barrier for entry to the Saturday night debate, but still list a quote-on-quote Presidential Candidate on the home page of the event website who hasn’t achieved ballot access in a single state, I think any reasonable person in my position would bow out and focus on campaigning here in Colorado this weekend.  I was hoping (naively perhaps) that such a sharp group of people would be taking Covid into consideration, but, especially in light of the massive snow storm hitting the Front Range this weekend, it appears that this event will take place entirely indoors, and I have to draw the line between living life and engaging in reckless behavior.  The Unity Party has just commissioned a new and (literally) dynamic logo, and I’ll be spending a portion of this weekend instead implementing our image.  I wish Brock Pierce and the other independents attending the best, but those wishes will be sent from Colorado.”
